The Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees in Downtown Huntsville that is free to attend and open all hours during the holiday season. Big Spring Park East is full of creativity, wonder, and holiday spirit with 300 trees this November 23rd – January 5th!
This is the 8th year of the Tinsel Trail presented by Jerry Damson Automotive Group. You can make an evening at the Tinsel Trail part of your holiday traditions! There are so many wonderful holiday traditions all within a few blocks of Downtown Huntsville. Stop by Skating in the Park behind the Huntsville Museum of Art. You can also find the magic at Santa’s Village at the Historic Huntsville Depot and journey to the Downtown Square to shop, dine, and play.
The lighting ceremony will be November 23rd at 6:30pm, Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle will share a holiday greeting, Chad Emerson, CEO and President of Downtown Huntsville, Inc., will say a few words then the Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre will perform. The lighting of the trail will commence, and we the evening will end with the Huntsville Community Drumline!
Each Thursday and Friday during Tinsel Trail you will be able to grab a coffee from Arsenal Coffee Co., they will be parked near the Welcome to Huntsville mural on Spragins Street. It’s the perfect way to warm up this holiday season!
Join us for Tinsel Trot, sponsored by RCP Companies and CityCentre at Big Spring, on December 4th at 5:30pm! This 1-mile fun run is always a holiday favorite.
